The urban musical drama series STAR is one of FOX television’s most talked about shows. This season former Oklahoma Baptist quarterback and professional athlete turned acting success Ernest Owens will be appearing as a guest star on the program.<\/div>\n

Atlanta, GA – October 10, 2018 –<\/strong>When it comes to versatile men driven to succeed Ernest Owens certainly makes the list. First well known by the public in his role a quarterback for the Oklahoma Baptist University football team, Ernest followed that up with a professional basketball run in Europe for the Westfalen Mustangs. <\/p>\n

Now dedicated to being an A-list name in Hollywood, the driven actor has been a part of a number of high-profile television programs.  In exciting news, he recently announced he will be appearing next as a guest star on the wildly popular musical drama series “STAR” on its third season on episode 4 which airs October 17th on FOX.  STAR has been nominated for a number of awards.<\/p>\n

The show is set in Atlanta and tells the story of three talented young female musicians doing their best to break into the music industry and become stars.<\/p>\n

“STAR is arguably the best show to ever hit FOX,” commented the passionate athlete-turned-actor.  “So you know I am more than enthusiastic about it.  I know fans of STAR will find my character intriguing, to put it mildly.”<\/p>\n

The Season 2 premiere of STAR brought in 5.4 million viewers, while its finale drew in 3.9 million, so the excitement surrounding Season 3 is clearly high.<\/p>\n

The show co-stars Queen Latifah, Benjamin Bratt, Amiyah Scott, Lance Gross, and Quincy Brown; and guest starred in the past musicians Big Boi, Missy Elliot, and Lenny Kravitz, and comedians like Mike Epps.<\/p>\n

Expect to see more of Ernest Owens on television and in film as his body of work in Hollywood and reputation only continue to grow. Ernest will also appear in a new Hallmark Channel movie titled “Christmas Everlasting” alongside Tatyana Ali.<\/p>\n
