Best known from NBC’s ‘The Blacklist’, Harry Lennix (Man of Steel<\/em>, The Matrix<\/em>) will launch the gospel concert film, REVIVAL! THE EXPERIENCE<\/em>, into theaters this December with distribution from TriCoast Worldwide. Lennix is credited alongside Holly Carter and David C. Waite as producers (Xponent Media, Relevé Entertainment and Jupiter Films), joined by Steve Harris, T’Keyah Crystal Keymáh (In Living Color<\/em>), Strathford Hamilton and Marcy Levitas Hamilton as executive producers. <\/p>\n

Directed by Danny Green (Troubled Waters<\/em>), REVIVAL!<\/em> is a musical retelling of the Gospel according to John the Apostle, recapturing the life and ministry of Jesus Christ in an exciting way for the new millennium. As a fantasia of vibrant visuals, powerhouse vocals and an innovative approach to the greatest story every told, REVIVAL!<\/em> is a stylistic blend of Broadway musical, epic historical drama and green screen technology, interwoven with the traditional biblical-based storytelling, modern day imagery and emotionally-captivating performances.<\/p>\n

Written by gospel star, Mali Music, REVIVAL!<\/em> blends traditional and 21st<\/sup> Century gospel music. Featuring sensational gospel and R&B performances by Chaka Khan (The Blues Brothers<\/em>), BET and Imagine nominee, Michelle Williams (Destiny’s Child<\/em>), award-winning Dawnn Lewis (Dreamgirls<\/em>), Wendy Raquel Robinson (The Game<\/em>, The Steve Harvey Show<\/em>) and Keymáh, whose voices enhance the film’s innovative approach, transcending time and space.<\/p>\n

In January, it will expand into Memphis, Baltimore, New Orleans, Norfolk, St. Louis, San Francisco, Cleveland, Orlando, Boston, Tampa, Indianapolis and Milwaukee.
