Prepare for palpitating, edge-of-your-seat suspense as Suspicious Character Films and Shooting Tiger Pictures present horror thriller ELECTION NIGHT, filming in London in February 2019 and due for release by Salt Film Releasing on DVD, Digital HD and in selected cinemas across the UK next October.<\/div>\n

Award-winning writer, director, and producer Neil Monaghan has announced his plans for a cautionary tale of sorts with his debut feature ELECTION NIGHT, which he is seeking to fund through a Kickstarter campaign.<\/p>\n

This dynamic film is set in London on election night, a time when tensions are running high. A revitalized left versus a far-right movement have been at each other for months, and election night is no different. Five liberal friends have gathered to watch the election results roll in on television while outside, far-right supporters are rioting. Soon, a home invasion ensues.<\/p>\n

“The film plays out a microcosm of the horrors our world could face if society stays as politically messed up as it is today,” says Monaghan, who used to work for former British Labour Deputy Prime Minister John Prescott.<\/p>\n

Monaghan has a long list of accolades in the film and theater industries, including most recently the acclaimed short films ‘An Unkind Word’.<\/p>\n

ELECTION NIGHT, he says, “is a tense, bloody, violent call to arms to the political dangers that lie ahead.”<\/p>\n

The film will be produced by Ben Pickering, one-time Conservative Parliamentary candidate and on-off filmmaker for the past twenty years. His most recent feature, the psychological thriller WELCOME TO CURIOSITY starring Richard Blackwood (EASTENDERS’ Vincent) and Amrita Acharia (Irri in GAME OF THRONES) was released in the UK, USA, and Canada in 2018. It was the world’s first crowd-investor funded film and comes out in China, France, and Germany in 2019.<\/p>\n

Through a recently launched Kickstarter campaign, Monaghan and his team hope to raise capital and awareness for this groundbreaking new film. He aims to raise just shy of $20,000 while offering backers perks such as signed, limited edition Blu-Ray versions of the film; digital and printed posters; limited edition storyboards; signed shooting scripts; and more in a number of packages and options available to give people everywhere a first look at ELECTION NIGHT.<\/p>\n

The capital raised will be used towards the production of the film, which will be carried out with a minimal crew, leading-edge technology, and a small budget while yielding an unforgettable finished product<\/p>\n
